In the paper, we have made a brief review of whether the teaching profession was honorable in society in different periods of human development, whether it was respected in society, what the teacher’s position was and what it is now. It has been found that in the countries of the Ancient East, the authority of the teacher was undeniable for children and adults. The means of existence of the teachers was the salary and gifts for the education of the children from the parents. In India, according to religious traditions, a hierarchy of teachers was formed that performed various teaching and educational functions, and the attitude of society towards them was unequal. In Ancient Greece, in connection with the simplification of the learning process, the authority of the teacher in society decreased. The treatment of teachers of different levels of education is unequal, the salary is low, especially for primary private school teachers. During the Middle Ages, the teachers were mainly representatives of the church. It has been shown that with the development of society, education, and pedagogy, all prominent philosophers and pedagogues highly valued the importance of the teacher in society, emphasized the need for his material support. In the monuments of pedagogical thought of the Ukrainian Renaissance era, the role of the teacher in society is highly valued and requirements for teachers were set forth. The position of the teacher gradually changed in the developed world with the creation of mass schools in the nineteenth century and their inclusion in the state system. The teacher becomes a civil servant. Women are also becoming teachers. However, the position of teachers in society, especially in rural areas, and the attitude towards them was unenviable, as Ukrainian writers have written about. In the twentieth century, the teaching profession became widespread around the world. Nevertheless, even today, attitudes towards teachers vary from country to country. It depends on the peculiarities of the historical development of countries, the level of the educational institution where the teacher works, the gender of the teacher, etc., and it is manifested, in particular, in the social status, working conditions and remuneration. Nowadays, in most countries of the world, a teacher is a civil servant. Traditionally, the teaching profession is more respected in the East, in Muslim countries. In many countries around the world, even in developed ones, primary school teachers receive lower salaries.

(2021) Демченко, Юлія Миколаївна; Андросова, Наталя Миколаївна; Кінах, Неля Володимирівна; Антошина, Світлана; Кіндей, Леся Григорівна; Demchenko, Yulia; Androsova, Natalia; Kinakh, Nelia; Antoshchuk, Svitlana; Kindei, Lesia
(en) The article analyzes the views of scientists on the use of lapbooking in elementary schools. It is found that the methodology of lapbooking allows you to unlock the potential of each student in the process of creating individual or more often collective work. In particular, the lapbook forms key skills and abilities, which are required by the educational vector of the New Ukrainian School. In addition, it takes into account cross-curricular learning and social competencies, which help each individual to become successful and adapt in society. The article proves that the use of Lapbooks is reasonable not only when studying a single topic, but also as a complex, systemic type of work, as close to the project and research activities as possible. It was found out that the introduction of lapbooking at different stages of studying subjects is effective, as it covers different types of activity: pair and group work; search methods and work with information (ability to work with sources, generalize and systematize, draw conclusions, formulate own statements concisely and informatively). It is noted that the technique of lapbooking can be applied as early as preschool age with a gradual complication of high school. Consequently, the general essence of lapbooking is systematized with the help of integrative diagrams and charts. It is determined that the educational industry must be flexible to timely respond to changes in society and provide the professional market with specialists, successful and active citizens who are able not only to adapt, but also to realize themselves. The innovativeness of the lapbooking method is that it combines different areas of activity simultaneously: informational, research, design, communicative, creative, technological, aesthetic. The results of the study allow us to recommend lapbooking as the main method of work in elementary school (when studying any topic or academic subject).

(en) In contemporary European literature, the problem of shaping future educators against the backdrop of crisis (military) transformations has not been explored. Ukrainian teachers demonstrate valuable experience in the teaching under warfare conditions, which should be the subject of a separate study. In addition, the problem of the professional formation of future teachers is also relevant, given the numerous terminological debates between scientists. The article aims to analyze the formation of professional competence of future elementary school teachers against the background of large-scale military aggression. The work is formed on the use of theoretical pedagogical research methods. Noticeable attention is paid to the methods of generalization, abstraction, analysis, synthesis. Among the empirical methods, the methods of experiment and SWOT-analysis were used. With the help of the latter, the strengths and weaknesses of the formation of professional competence in the system of distance learning of future elementary school teachers against the background of military aggression are reflected. The results considered terminological discussions regarding the concept of “professional competence”, highlighted the main features of professionalism of modern teachers, analyzed the use of game techniques and their impact on the formation of important skills for future teachers, developed a training model to ensure maximum exposure to professional competence in future teachers. Inthe conclusion, it was noted that the appeal to game techniques allows to deepen the assimilation of professional competence, moreover, conducting games during the war has an additional psychological effect. The best training model for future teachers is to conduct distance learning sessions according to the established program, which provides an increase in the amount of practice and actualization of the experience of independent work.
