Роль професійної компетентності в підготовці вчителя іноземної мови

(uk) У статті розглянуто роль та важливість формування професійної компетентності; компетентність фахівця; акцентована на основних якостях сучасного вчителя іноземних мов; окреслено процес професійної адаптації майбутнього вчителя іноземної мови; проаналізовано компетентнісний підхід, види компетентності, компетентність фахівця з вищою освітою, професійну компетентність учителя.

(ru) В статье рассмотрены роль и необходимость формирования профессиональной компетенции; компетентность специалиста; выявлены основные качества современного учителя иностранных языков; описан процесс профессиональной адаптации будущего учителя иностранного языка; проанализированы компетентный подход, виды компетентности, компетентность специалиста с высшим образованием, профессиональная компетентность учителя.

(en) Today in Ukraine there is an urgent need for highly qualified specialists capable of establishing business contacts and productive work with foreign partners, specialists with a high level of foreign language proficiency. Educational institutions should be organized in such a way that it enables preparation of pupils and students for life in changing conditions; formation of the need for constant updating of knowledge, professional development, communication and exchange of information, as well as the desire to understand importance of cooperation in joint projects with representatives of other countries. From this point, perfect command of a foreign language is an important component of specialist training. It is known that the priority of higher education institutions is to provide training for specialists who can independently learn and improve their professional level. In order to meet the proposed requirements, teachers must constantly work on their selfdevelopment improve personal qualities, develop skills of pedagogical communication, enrich methodical knowledge, increase professional skills. In addition, it is also important to improve knowledge of a foreign language. It is well known that learning a foreign language is a complex process, the effectiveness of which depends on the interaction of many factors. The main objective of such training is development of speaking skills, which ensures successful formation of all types of speech activities, i. e. listening, reading, writing and speaking. Acquisition of all types of foreign language activity is more effective under conditions of intensive communication skills. One of the most important conditions for improving the quality of specialists in higher education institutions is maximum orientation of all courses offered for students to study their future professional activity. Rapid development of market relations requires the establishment of stable contacts of national business persons with foreign partners, so there is a need to train specialists in interlingual and intercultural communication, who have professionally-oriented linguistic knowledge and skills, and can effectively partner with businesses, organizing exhibitions, fairs, establishing cultural contacts.
