Анотація
(uk) Авторами досліджено та проаналізовано поняття «самостійна робота», «інноваційні методи», «комунікативна компетентність» та «індивідуальна робота». Самостійна робота студентів представляє собою складне педагогічне явище, особливу форму навчальної діяльності, яка покликана допомогти студентам набути комплекс знань і навичок.
(ru) Авторами исследованы и проанализированы понятия «самостоятельная работа», «инновационные методы», «коммуникативная компетентность» и «индивидуальная работа». Самостоятельная работа студентов представляет сложное педагогическое образование, особая форма учебной деятельности, которая призвана помочь студентам приобрести комплекс знаний и навыков.
(en) This study was being conducted during February-May of 2016 with the aim of defining, testing, and implementation of some innovative methods of teaching English at the faculty of arts of the Kirovohrad Volodymyr Vynnychenko State Pedagogical University. The authors investigated and analyzed the concept of «independent work», «innovative methods», «communicative competence» and «individual work». Students’ independent work is a complex pedagogical phenomenon, a special form of training activities aimed to help students acquire a set of knowledge and skills. The latest computer-based education technologies enable teachers to organize independent work of each student. Students were offered exercises of reflexive-communicative nature, on the basis of various innovative-communication technologies (learning to learn, BYOD, Bricolage, project method, method of statements stimulation, newspaper/magazine article annotation). Learning to learn is a method of achieving educational outcomes and personal dynamics by the student (communicative approach). BYOD is a pedagogical principle according to which students use any gadget (smartphone, laptop, tablet), already available to them, during fulfilling their task. Bricolage is a term, used in fine arts, which means creation of a subject or object from scrap materials, as well as the subject or object itself. The primary use of the project method in teaching foreign languages is the ability of communicative competence mastering by students. The method of statements stimulation is characterized by the fact that students form content and logic of their statements using clichés with words (always, and, sometimes, but, on the one hand, on the contrary, etc.) on the basis of a spoken text. Newspaper/magazine article annotation contributes to motivation of studying the English language and is an effective means of formation of foreign cultural competence. The results of educational research indicate progressive qualitative tendency of using the investigated innovative methods of teaching English and demonstrates the effectiveness of the establishment and implementation of experimental studies by the authors.
